Unlocking Mystery Gifts

You can unlock this feature by reaching a Pokemon Centre in the game. On average, it takes about 90 minutes of gameplay to get there. Once there, the game gives you a new menu option called the 'Poké Portal'. This is where you find the Mystery Gifts. To redeem these codes, go to the game menu, choose the Poké Portal, and then select 'Mystery Gift'. 

How to redeem Mystery Gift Codes

You can gather mystery gifts in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet more easily now. These can be achieved by using different codes or directly downloading them from the internet. Note that both ways need a working internet link, but you do not need to have a Nintendo Switch Online membership. 

You can find the Mystery Gifts in the Poké Portal menu. To pick one of these gifts, go to your menu and move to the Poké Portal. Here, choose 'Mystery Gift'. You will see four different selections:

Get via internet

Picking 'Get via internet' gives you a list of all active offerings online. You can pick your gift from this list. But remember, you can only download one gift at a time.

Get with code/password

Choosing 'Get with code/password' lets you type in the special code or password for your gift. Enter your code or password in the box that shows up. After entering correctly, the download will start, and you will soon have your gift in your game. 

Check mystery gifts

Using 'Check Mystery Gifts', you can view all the mystery gifts you've collected in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This option is useful for keeping a record of your items.
