You can compare and find the best IPL betting odds right here on this page. On top of that, I’ll explain a bit more about how the odds work and how best to bet on T20 cricket.
T20 is a shorter form of cricket and the Indian Premier League is the top competition in the world. As a result, it is popular among bettors and therefore the odds are very competitive among sportsbooks. One thing I can assure you is that shopping around for the best odds is more beneficial than you might think.
There are a lot of sportsbooks out there that promise you the best odds for the IPL and other sports. However, in reality, they are scam sites that use high odds and extra bonuses to lure you and take your money before giving back very little in return.
However, I have personally tested and reviewed all of the sites that you can see on the banners on this page. As a result, you can rest assured that you are comparing the best IPL betting odds at licensed and legal sportsbooks where you are.
I always recommend that you shop around to find the best price for every bet that you place. That being said, 1xBet is probably my favourite site for betting on the IPL overall, thanks to its high odds and profit boost promotions.

As a T20 cricket betting expert, one of the questions I’m most often asked is if it’s surely worth shopping around for the best odds for every bet. Surely, the odds can’t really differ that much between sportsbooks, right?
This is a common misconception that actually couldn’t be more wrong. In actual fact, the odds can differ hugely between different online IPL betting sites. Moreover, we shop around for the best price in every other aspect of our consumer lives, whether it be buying a new car or booking a holiday, so why wouldn’t you do the same when betting?
Here are just some of the reasons why IPL betting odds can be different between sportsbooks:
To show you how much potential value there is to be found in shopping around for the best odds, let’s look at the opening match for the 2024 season. I have found the following best and worst price differences for the Chennai Super Kings to win this game:
With a $100 bet, here is the difference in total returns:
Just by doing a quick price comparison on a simple IPL betting rate win market, I was able to get an extra $21.00 expected profit. So imagine how much potential value you could potentially gain by comparing the odds for every single IPL bet you place.

As we have established, shopping around for the best odds is important. However, if you want to get the best value, it also helps to know how and when the odds are likely to change:
First of all, take a look at what the prop cricket gamblers are doing and see what teams and outcomes are being backed the most. Generally, the markets seeing the highest level of spending will have their odds reduced quickly and substantially.
Keep track of every IPL franchise and player’s form throughout the season. As well as overall form, keep abreast of head-to-head records and potentially conflicting playing styles.
As the season is short, even a minor injury can completely rule a player out for the entire duration. As a result, injuries have a bigger impact on the IPL betting rate than they do for most other sports competitions.
On top of injuries, I also strongly recommend that you keep abreast of other team news, including the personal lives of players. After all, it’s no secret that the frame of mind can be as impactful to a performance as physical fitness.
As with all outdoor sports, the weather can have a bearing on how the IPL betting odds move. In extreme cases, the umpires may decide to call the game off, completely.
One of the unique things about test cricket is its longer format, which lasts more than five days. This slows things down, which makes live betting not too dissimilar from pre-game betting, as the in-play odds often stand still for more than 24 hours.
However, IPL and other T20 cricket games only run up to a maximum of 150 minutes plus Super Overs. As a result, the IPL betting odds move much quicker and the overall in-play betting experience is more akin to other team sports, including baseball, NFL and soccer.
If and when you decide to bet on the IPL live, I recommend that you wait for breaks in play, such as halftime or when teams are changing from batting to fielding. During these brief pauses, the odds stand still and you can place your bet without feeling rushed.
Are you new to T20 cricket betting? If so, it’s important to get to grips with the basics, starting with learning how to read the odds.
Depending on which location you are betting from, the odds on your IPL online betting app will be displayed in one of the following three formats by default:
In my experience, just about all betting sites allow you to personalise the odds display and change the odds to the format of your preference. To decide which one is right for you, here’s a brief explanation of how they work:
This is the most common way that the IPL betting rate is displayed across the world and is the easiest to read. Here the probability of each outcome is displayed in decimal form, and you just need to multiply your stake by the odds to get your total expected payout.
E.g. if you bet $10 on the Kolkata Knight Riders at 2.00, your payout would be $20.00. If you subtract your $10 stake, that leaves you with a $10 profit.
Most commonly used in the UK and Ireland, this is a classic and sometimes complex format. The left number shows your expected profit while the right of the fraction shows your stake.
For instance, if the Royal Challengers Bangalore were 11/10 to beat the Chennai Super Kings, you would get $11.00 expected profit for every $10.00 that you bet.
As you have probably guessed from the name, this is the odds format you are most likely to see if you bet on the IPL from within the United States. There are two numbers that I need to tell you about here:
Plus (+) odds show your expected profit for a $100 stake – e.g. +110 odds = $110 expect profit if you bet $100.
Minus odds (-) show how much you would need to stake to get a $100 expected profit – e.g., -110 means you’d need a $110 stake to win $100.
Before I leave you today, I would like to summarise everything that we have learned by outlining the main pros and cons of Indian Premier League cricket odds. For most of these points, I have compared T20 cricket to traditional long-form test cricket.
Out of everything that I’ve told you here today, the main thing to remember is to shop around for the best odds for all of your IPL bets. As I explained using a real-life example earlier, there is so much money to be saved and/or potentially won simply by comparing the prices at different betting sites. And remember that you can compare the odds right here at GameChampions using my comparison tool.
That depends on the odds format that you prefer to use – decimal, fractional and American are the most popular. To find out how to read each one of these in relation to IPL betting markets, check out my guide here at GameChampions.com.
Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket is played in the T20 format, which is better for betting when compared to test cricket. This is because it is a shorter form of cricket, with matches lasting between 2 and 2.5 hours, making it more similar to other popular gambling sports like football, basketball and the NFL.
You can find and compare the best IPL odds where you are right here at GameChampions.com. Additionally, you can check out my reviews to find your ideal cricket real money betting app today.
